No – the PCX 160 ABS has front-only ABS. The front uses a 220mm hydraulic disc with single-channel ABS. The rear uses a 220mm hydraulic disc without ABS. This is the standard Honda specification for this model. Front-only ABS provides the most important safety benefit since the front brake delivers the majority of stopping force.

The PCX 160 uses Honda's Smart Key – a wireless fob system. When the fob is in your pocket or bag, the scooter recognizes it and allows push-button starting without physically inserting a key. The system includes an immobilizer that prevents the engine from starting without the registered fob present.
If the fob battery runs flat during your rental, a backup start procedure allows you to continue riding. Replacement batteries are available in Thong Sala. Keep the fob away from water immersion even though the scooter itself handles Ko Phangan's rain well.
The PCX 160 ABS is the most advanced and most expensive PCX model in the fleet. It has a larger 157cc engine, front ABS, a Smart Key wireless ignition, and full LED lighting. The Honda PCX 150 Black and Honda PCX 150 White are older models without ABS or smart key, priced lower per day.
Choose the PCX 160 ABS if you want Honda's current scooter technology and the safety of front ABS. Choose a PCX 150 if budget is the priority and you are comfortable riding without ABS on Ko Phangan's roads.
The PCX 160 ABS is well suited to Ko Phangan's main paved road network. The west coast from Thong Sala through Srithanu to Haad Yao is smooth and easy. The south coast through Ban Tai to Haad Rin is flat and relaxed. The north coast to Chaloklum and Mae Haad is scenic and manageable. The east coast climb to Thong Nai Pan Noi is the most demanding route – the 157cc engine handles it at a steady pace solo, and with a passenger takes it slower.
Stay on paved roads throughout. The PCX 160 is a road scooter – unsealed tracks and beach sand are not suited to its tyres or ground clearance.
